This compelling new Bible speaks to the topics, challenges, and expectations that will instantly connect with men ages 18-34. • Devotions from young pastors and leaders such as Matt Chandler, Shane Claiborne, Craig Gross, Gabe Lyons and Jud Wilhite
  • 52 “Myth Articles” state commonly accepted myths in our culture today, then refute those myths with answers from God’s Word.

My Review

There are many Bibles on the market today, and I really like being able to review different ones. This one is a nice NIV Devotional Bible with the devotions written with men involved. There are 260 unique devotions that cover issues men struggle with in their everyday life. Another thing I found unique is the 52 myths that are listed in this book. Myths like “My anger is justified”, and this list the myth, as well as insights into what you can do to help you realize what it wrong with these myths.

I really like this new NIV Bible for me, and I highly recommend it for all men wanting to strengthen their Bible study and devotions. There are many insights in the Bible to help you grow in the Word! Using the complete text of the New International Reader’s Version (NIrV), this Bible pairs beautifully with The Beginner’s Bible: Kid-Sized Devotions to encourage lifelong Bible reading habits. MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BIBLE/DEVOTIONAL

This is an awesome Bible/Devotional set for children. I was very surprised and pleased when I rec’d this. It is much nicer than I expected.  The Bible is a full text Bible, written in a little larger font to make it easier to read. And the NIrV has not notes, which makes it great for reading only. The Devotional is adorable. It has a verse for each 365 day of the year, and the devotion is a small paragraph. When my 6 year old niece saw this she immediately started reading the devotions. I love that it is simple enough that she could read it at six years old, yet it is the same Bible promises and truths that we read every day.

If you are looking for a new Bible and Devotional for your child, this is the one to check out. You will not be disappointed in this one!  I received this book from BookLook BLoggers to read and review. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK

This book is made up of four Southern Romances by four amazingly great authors. The stories are:, To Mend a Dream by Tamera Alexander; An Outlaw’s Heart by Shelley Gray; A Heart So True by Dorothy Love; Love Beyond Limits by Elizabeth Musser. In all four of these stores, these interesting ladies have to make decisions that will be life changing. And with each of these authors, they make their story, characters and plots interesting enough that readers will be back for more. These stories are short, but they are really good. Perfect for the times you don’t have enough time to read a full blown book. Southern with a little bit of romance, now that makes for an entertaining and exciting read. But when she arrives, she discovers she’s carrying a child, conceived before her husband’s death. Was the new start she’d hoped for only a mirage?

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK

A Heart’s Betrayal is the fourth book in Colleen Coble’s A Journey of the Heat Series. This series is a previous series from Ms. Coble, this one is a very short book for each story. In this story, Emmie Croftner finds out that her late husband wasn’t the man she thought he was, the home and everything she had wasn’t hers after all. After relocating, Emmie meets a soldier that just might change her life.

As usual, Colleen Coble writes a story with characters are interesting and intriguing, and make the story interesting. The situations in Emmie’s life leave her with a life of tension, so much so that she can’t stay in her town any longer. This change in her life leaves a more and different type of tension, because of her new place and new people in her life. The one thing with these short books is that you have to wait a month to read the next short installment. For me, it is much easier to read the entire story at once. I am keeping all of these books and will read them again one after the other!

A Hearts Desire by Colleen Coble

A Hearts Desire by Colleen Coble

a hearts danger

Book Description

On the brink of war with the Sioux, a young woman risks everything to expose the betrayal threatening the man she loves.

Christmas is coming, and the air at Fort Laramie has turned cold . . . but relations with the Sioux have turned colder. As tensions between soldiers and natives approach a tipping point, Ben Croftner and Jessica DuBois prepare a trap for Rand Campbell.

Bitter from rejection and backfired plans, Croftner has enlisted the help of Rand’s new fiancée to keep Rand from ever returning to Sarah Montgomery . . . for whom his heart clearly still yearns.

Sarah is simply trying to move on with her life at Fort Laramie, but doing so under the watchful eyes of both Campbell-the man whose love she craves-and Croftner-the man whose lies have cost her everything.

Will Rand fall victim to the conspiracy and go through with his wedding? Or will he declare his love for Sarah and make good on the promises that brought her into the rugged western territories?

MY REVIEW  This is book three in the six-part novella series, Journey of the Heart. This series is a reissue of earlier writings from Ms. Coble, the Wyoming series. It is fun getting a new book each month to read, and they are all short, and can be read in one setting. In this book, Will Rand return home to marry Sara, the women he loves, or will deceiving circumstances cause him to marry another? Tensions are thick as this story unfolds and the truth comes to surface. Ms. Coble creates characters that make the story one that readers will not want to put down. But one thing with these short books, but the time you really get into the story, the book ends, and we have to wait another month to get the next book! Personally I would rather have the books in a shorter book series, to give us more to read at one time!

I received this book from BookLook Bloggers to read and review. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 55.
