ABOUT THIS BOOK………  Fashion is a fickle industry, a frightening fact for twenty-four-year-old model Ivy Clark. Ten years in and she’s learned a sacred truth — appearance is everything. Nobody cares about her broken past as long as she looks beautiful for the camera. This is the only life Ivy knows — so when it starts to unravel, she’ll do anything to hold on. Even if that means moving to the quaint island town of Greenbrier, South Carolina, to be the new face of her stepmother’s bridal wear line — an irony too rich for words, since Ivy is far from the pure bride in white.

When I saw the title of this book, I knew it would be a good book to read, because I figured it was about a different kind of beautiful than most people think about. And I was correct. For ten years Ivy Clark has been modeling fashions, and the only kind of beauty she knows is how she looks on the outside. That’s what everyone wants, outside beauty, no matter what you are feeling like inside. What a horrible life to live. It is when Ivy meets Davis that she begins to see a different side of beauty. Author Katie Ganshert writes a compelling story of God’s love and redemption, no matter what we have experienced in our life. A Broken Kind of Beautiful is a heartwarming book, but yet at times it is full of heartache and difficulties because of what the characters are going through. Sometimes I had a hard time reading some of the scenes, but I appreciate so much how author Katie Ganshert weaves the love and redemption of God’s grace into the lives of her characters. This book is truly full of blessings and encouragement and I highly recommend it for anyone to read! You can not go wrong reading this book!

I received this book from Blogging for Books to read and review.  I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 55
