Threads of Grace
by Kelly Long
About this book
Grace’s beauty almost cost her everything. This new start is all she has left.
When Grace Beiler was only a girl, she was married off to an older Amish man in order to save her family’s farm. Years later, she finds herself newly widowed and a mother to a young son. She has finally fled her sad past and plans to settle into a quiet life in Pennsylvania.
As soon as she arrives, she captures the attention of Seth Wyse, the most eligible bachelor in Pine Creek. Seth is candid about his feelings for her, and for her son Abel, but Grace is determined to protect her heart. Her determination falters when her brother-in-law reveals the troubling contents of her late husband’s will.
Seth offers Grace his hand in marriage, and thus a means of escape. But despite his having saved her from another loveless marriage, Grace is slow to trust her new husband. And as the months wear on, Seth wonders if he has made a mistake. But God is quietly at work in their hearts, and Seth and Grace soon discover that threads of grace bind them together in a tapestry rich in hope and love.
MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK
After her loveless marriage to an older man to save her family, Grace has trouble trusting Seth when he ask her to marry him. Can Grace really trust another man, and this time she has her young autistic son to be concerned about. Will Seth love her son as his very own?
Threads of Grace is a heartwarming story about Grace Beiler’s difficulties in trusting men, after a difficult marriage ends in the death of her much older husband. I enjoyed Grace’s story because even though she lives a plain life, there is nothing plain about the life she has lived so far. She faces difficult situations and decisions just like anyone does. I really like Grace, and my heart went out to her as she struggled to make decisions she need to make. Seth as a sweetheart, or so I thought! It was really special that he chose Grace, even though he could have had his pick of any other woman! And he was always there to support Grace and her son, giving her a life that she finally deserved! All of you Amish fans out there, you don’t want to miss this one!
