ABOUT A VOICE IN THE NIGHT
Brian, Josh, and Thomas arrived at Blackstone Cabin with great expectations of fishing and having fun. Now in the midst of a raging storm, and a hooded stranger frantically knocking at their door, the boys desperately wished for Josh’s father, Mr.Joplin, to return to the cabin. Will he return in time to save the boys from danger, or will the boys open the door to the frantic knocking of the hooded stranger outside.
This was my first book to read by Ernestine Dail and I really enjoyed it! A Voice in the Night is a book for young readers, and it deals with issues that this age face today. Brian and Thomas were friends that came from very different backgrounds. Thomas seemed to get into a lot of trouble, and Brian was a pretty good guy. Could these two boys be friends without Brian following into Thomas’ footsteps?
If you enjoy short stories, you will love this one. I enjoyed getting to know Brian and Thomas as they dealt with their sticky situations and difficult problems they had to go through. Ms. Dail created characters that are believable and realistic and you will enjoy getting to know them throughout the story. This is a book you will read at one setting. I couldn’t put it down once I started reading! The author does a fantastic job of keeping the story smooth reading and interesting to keep your attention.
I really encourage young readers to read this really neat story. You are in for a real treat!!
