What are you chasing?
We’re all chasing after something, something that we think will make us happy—comfort, success, a bigger house, or someone’s approval. But if we are all honest, it feels like trying to catch the wind.
A man after God’s own heart… As David’s life weaves throughout the pages of Scripture, we see he was a man who spent his life chasing after God. Chase explores the events that defined David’s life and the Psalms that flowed out of those experiences. Through David’s example we’ll discover what God really wants from us.
The lessons in this study are simple yet deep and very interactive, offering Bible study, stories, and projects to dig into Scripture and deeply engage the mind and heart. God has carved out a space in each of us that only He can fill. So whether you are running from God or working your tail off to please Him, David’s journey will challenge your view of God.
God is invisible, and yet He is the only thing we can chase that won’t leave us feeling more empty.

My Thoughts On This Book
I have always enjoyed studies on the life of David, so this I really like this one. Chase is based on the life of David, using scripture throughout the Psalms. I not only enjoyed this study, but I learned a lot from it as well because I seem to have a lot of ups and downs in my Christian life. And though I didn’t commit the same sins as David, the results are the same because of not listening to God. So Chase was an eye opener for me. And I want to do this study again a little slower and study even more about this amazing Bible character.
Jennie Allen is a wonderful teacher and her studies are layed out in a way that it is easy to understand, yet the studies are fun and enjoyable to go through. And I really enjoy the DVD that goes with this study, because actually seeing a teacher as you study brings the lessons more to life and I always learn more.
I highly recommend Chase for your Sunday school class or small group study. Or if you just want to study it on your own, or have a few ladies over to study with you, that is a great idea as well. Pick up your copy from Thomas Nelson today!
